Why buy the Lawnbott Robotic Lawn Mower?

Lawnbott works with no human intervention. It works on batteries and recharges itself. It has zero emissions and very quiet operation so it can even work at night! How does it work?

All models except the L1200 require a border wire. The wire is staked down around the perimeter of your property. The Lawnbot robot lawn mower detects a very safe low-level signal in the wire to find the property boundaries.

The Lawnbott mows on a schedule that you set (e.g. 3 times/week, once a day, twice a day, etc.) It backs out of the charging dock and drives. When it reaches the perimeter wire or another obstruction, it turns and goes another way. It also performs spiral mowing. The Lawnbott mows up to four hours on a charge.

The Lawnbot robotic mower keeps following the random zig-zag/spiral pattern until the battery becomes low. Then it follows the perimeter wire back to the dock for recharging. After charging for 3 hours, it comes out and continues.

How will the zig-zag pattern look on my lawn?

Lawnbott’s random mowing pattern is the best mowing pattern to use for optimal grass health. The Lawnbott does not leave a permanent line pattern because the lawn is being mowed all the time and Lawnbott weighs much less than a traditional mower. Each time it mows it cuts a small amount of growth that occurred since the previous time it mowed that particular spot. Since Lawnbott mows more often, you no longer see excessive grass growth and long grass clippings.

What happens to the grass clippings?

Lawnbott has a four-blade mulching system. The first blade cuts the grass and the remaining blades chop the grass into very small clippings.

If you are already using a mulching lawn mower, you know what happens when you fall behind on mowing. The grass gets longer than your mower can mulch and you end up with big clumps of dead grass that kill the grass underneath.

This won’t happen with the Lawnbott robot mower. Grass clippings are repeatedly chopped during the first and subsequent passes. Clippings decay and fertilize the lawn rather than kill it.

Is a Lawnbott Robot Mower safe?

The Lawnbott is designed to meet strict US and European lawn mower requirements. It stops when picked-up. If it bumps into a person or a pet, it does so gently and goes in a different direction. The blade is far inside the shell for added safety. A blade guard covers the blade. Lawnbot is the only robotic lawn mower that has been approved by the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
